Experience
Since 1985 I have worked with community and church
groups as well as corporate and government organisations, facilitating
meetings and mediating disputes of many kinds. Through this work, I have developed special expertise in consensus building processes.
I am fully accredited
as a mediator by LEADR (the association of Alternative
Dispute Resolution professionals) and under the National Mediation Accreditation scheme. I have studied negotiation,
mediation and consensus-building at the world-leading Harvard Program
on Negotiation. A full list of courses I have attended appears below.
For the last 7 years I have worked as a corporate
trainer and consultant specialising in these areas, and before that I spent 6 years as a solicitor and legal academic. I regularly
teach basic and advanced level courses in negotiation and mediation
at Monash Law School, and design and deliver training workshops
on all aspects of conflict management and communication as a senior
consultant at CMA.
